Be Smart Make Art is dedicated to inspiring a new generation of artists to make great art. 

I am Kandra Scullin and I am an Inland Empire artist! I love making art and prefer depicting contemplative female portraits of powerful women from history in various mediums. I have also been an art educator for over 25 years. I have taught art classes at Cal State San Bernardino for more than two decades. I have also taught at the University of Redlands and many local colleges. I have taught public high school and middle school art for many years. I love talking about art every day with anyone who will listen and I consider myself lucky that I get to be an art teacher.

I am Patrick Scullin and I am an instructor, illustrator and Jedi Master. I love making art the tells a good story. This includes everything from writing and illustrating comic books and graphic novels to creating digital paintings and fantastic poster art. I am also a community college professor that teaches design and printing graphics at Riverside City College located in Riverside California. I am passionate about helping students use their talents to build the technical skills they need to pursue exciting careers in commercial printing and computer graphics.
